New profiles of people in need at Lalibela

On our visit in Lalibela it`s program to meet the poorest of the poor from the streets and at our Welcome at Gezas house there were already some knowing about our arrival and asking for support and help. We got to know hardship, need, distress, poverty and misery of these needy people. About the hardest destinys we made profiles of the people to find sponsors soon. Life in Lalibela is hard and uneasy for everybody- harder we ourselves will ever be able to understand. Biggest part of citizens do not have nothing at all and for many daily food is the biggest problem. People are living in family community, everybody gives what`s possibel and somehow it works out most of the time to survive at least. People living on their own without family suffer in real big hardship. All our sponsorships and new profiles don`t have any relatives and are unable standing on their own to survive. There is no man able to work and most of them are grandmothers with parentless grandchildren. All these people are absolutly prior in support and monthly help saves up survival and school attendance of orphans.

Visiting our sponsorships

Reglularly we visit our sponsorships during our time in Lalibela. Due to raising number of sponsorships the round needs many days already, no talk about documentary which has to be done about changes of our needies in their lives and their welfare. Until today it was about myself only taking care, but it was time to define new process and about support for myself. I am very thankfull Ziggy made in cooperation with Geza and Eyaway the most of the sponsorship round this time and she did care for documentary too. Therefore it was possibel form e to find space for current topics.

We have a new routine coming up: it`s about Eshetu- a longtime friend out of Lalibela- who`s visiting our sponsorships regularly in future. He is  really empatetic and understanding towards our sponsorships and we are happy to have him as a new member on board of HOPE in Lalibela. We want to optimize information flow about sponsorship to sponsor, becoming more direct and present! It`s a big relief for me and there is no reason to do sponsorship-rounds for some days until arriving in Lalibela anymore.Beside of giving lots of joy it`s a huge amount of work to visit all 58 sponsorships.

In the moment we are still in actualizing pictures and all sponsors will receive soon an email with a link to their sponsorship and the current situation and welfare. Every sponsor can be sure about thankfullness of his sponsorship and it`s up to me telling great thanks to everybody and lovely greetings. Would be nice to have you all together along to make up your mind and see what sponsorship means to the people in Lalibela.

After reading you realize a lot did happen during our visit this time already and weh ad a full packed program daily. Hope for Ethiopia is growing fast and quickly and different fields of activities- especially our Online Market- need lots of attention and time. All in all it`s a lot of work making fun and feeling just right at all doing it for the poorest of the poor. Without all of you all this would not be possibel at all.
